How to Measure
MEASURING YOUR ROOM FOR FURNITURE
Always measure before you purchase
Its important to measure the Length Depth and Height of any piece of furniture.
When measuring a space for a larger piece of furniture a good tip is to lay down a sheet or newspaper of equal dimensions to give a good indication of the area the item will occupy.
When measuring for table and chairs ensure to measure extra space to allow for when chairs are pulled out.
Its also important to take into consideration any access points or doorways the furniture must travel through e.g. narrow hallways, tight corners, low ceilings.
MEASURING YOUR ROOM FOR A KITCHEN,BEDROOM,BATHROOM OR LIVING ROOM
For best results measure your room in sections i.e. from start to window, window width, from window to end.
Please ensure any doors and windows are marked in.
The more detail you can give at this stage of the design the better but don't worry, as we will be visiting your house to get our own accurate measurements.
Mark the general positioning of the plumbing, extractor outlet and electrical points unless these are to be moved.
